I have noticed when you look at some inventor friendly companies, their requirements vary as do their obligations to the inventor. Do you have any advice on things to watch out for?

Sally, The best advice I can give is research the companies you want to approach. See if they have licensed any other products from other inventors. Do a back ground check on the web.

Most companies dont want to sign the inventors NDA, they dont want to get in any type of lawsuit and I cant blame them. Companies aren't out to steal your idea as most think. Can it happen, sure but not very often. Make sure you have some type of protection before you introduce any product. Even if its documented in a inventors journal. Leave a good paper trail when submitting anything.
